蒙特斯七十三十From our "La Finca" Estate in the Apalta Valley (Santa Cruz D.O., a sub-denomination ofColchagua Valley). Aurelio evaluated releasing a full Carménère wine, as we have pureCarménère vines, but after many combinations decided that this blend of 70% CabernetSauvignon and 30% Carménère (specified as such in the main label) brought forward thebest of both varieties. Aged in American oak for six months and with only one softfiltering, it provides great value. With beautiful and intense ruby red color, it has a veryelegant aroma with notes of chocolate, cigar box, coffee and also of vanilla andbutterscotch. To the palate it is ample. Medium to full body, soft and generous, with along aftertaste. Decanting is recommended for at least 30 minutes. It can be cellared forfour years or enjoyed now. D.O. Butterscotch and the subtle spiciness makes itappealing, with a strong personal character. The well integrated vanilla flavors comes from the oakaging, and adds complexity and elegance.
